Here’s what to expect:
- I love taking photos of people ~ particularly women ~ who hate having their picture taken. I used to absolutely HATE having my picture taken, but now that I understand more about posing and how I can make myself look better in photos, I hate it a bit less. I understand how vulnerable it feels to be in front of a camera, but please know you I’m going to guide you through the entire experience and you don’t need to worry about a thing.
- It’s not your job to be photogenic. It’s my job to make you feel comfortable, direct you through your photo shoot, and guide you through poses so you can finally have the pictures of yourself that you love.
- You will have online pre-session booking consultation with me ~ This will be our first opportunity to learn more about each other. I’m going to ask you some questions about what you are looking for and hoping to accomplish during your portrait session. We’ll chat out wardrobe suggestions, your portrait style options, what to expect during your photography session, and applicable sitting fees and portrait package options. I’ll help you select up to five different outfits and ways to be photographed and answer any questions you may have.
- The fun part: your time in the studio ~ If you are up for it, we’ll take a quick *before* picture for a fun comparison to your portraits. If COVID restrictions have relaxed, your session will include being treated to a hair and make-up artist who will ready you for your portrait session. Once you have been styled, you will slip into your first outfit and join me for your session in the studio. Feel awkward in front of a camera? Most everyone does, but don’t worry. I will guide you through your session. Get ready to do some bending and twisting that will feel so odd that you won’t be able to stop yourself from having a good time.
- When your portraits are ready ~ Within three weeks we will get together over video conference for your photo reveal.
